Lent is the 40-day period preceding Easter that is set aside as a time of repentance and renewal. The word is derived from the Middle English word ‘Lente’ meaning ‘springtime’.

During this season, we gather each Wednesday to enjoy a meal of soup and bread

and to worship with one another as we strengthen our walk with Christ.

Our 6-week “Soup Supper” tradition begins on

Ash Wednesday, February 17^th, 2010

With imposition of ashes and celebration of Holy Communion

(all are welcome to receive)

Soup Suppers – 6:15 pm in Overholt Hall

Worship Services – follows the supper at 7:15 pm in the Sanctuary
