Grow In Faith To Serve...Christ

Mid-Week Lenten Program

Date: 2/13/2013 - 3/20/2013
Time: 7:15 PM -

Lent is the period of the liturgical year from Ash Wednesday leading up to Easter. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer - through prayerfasting, serving and self-denial.  During Lent we will gather as a church for mid-week Lenten soup suppers followed by a worship service.  Every Wednesday night, starting with Ash Wednesday (Feb 13), through March 20, we will gather for fellowship and food at 6:15pm and then worship together at 7:15pm.  Please note that you do not have to come for dinner to attend the service.
This year each worship service will focus on the video/bible study series called The Way:  Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus created by Rev. Adam Hamilton, pastor of one of the largest United Methodist Churches in the country.  In this study, using historical information, archaeological data, and stories of faith, Pastor Hamilton follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism, the temptations, and moving through his ministry to the people he loved, the healing he brought, the parables he taught, and the enemies he made.
