Poverty Simulation

We are hosting a Poverty Simulation in conjunction with the Bucks County Opportunity Council, April 17, 2010 from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Come to the Poverty Simulation and have a life changing experience which will allow you to identify the frustrations, emotions, and challenges experienced by those living in poverty all over our nation today. Live a compressed four week identity with a family and community in poverty. Participate as a part of a family in this mini-life experience of living in poverty and dealing with daily life. Participate in a discussion of your feelings during the simulation when the role-playing session is ended. We ask for your commitment when signing up.

We need 74 participants, 16 and older, in order for this to be a realistic experience. We are opening this to the community outside of DUMC.
