But, our tendency is a lot like that of ancient Israel in the Old Testament: we tend to do whatever we want…not what God desires…and we find ourselves at a distance from God. We become people that are insensitive to the needs of others. We lack a response to the vulnerable and broken people all around us. God wants to fix this distance between us and God. And, God wants us to be servants in a hurting world. So, God continually seeks after us to bridge this gap. And, as God seeks us…God’s desire is for us to seek Him and to serve others. - Pastor Michael Murphy
