Dinner Groups
Are you looking for an opportunity for discipleship and socializing with others in the church?...DUMC ‘dinner groups’
Dinner groups have been effective in DUMC since 2009. They are an excellent way of getting to know fellow church members whose hand you may shake in church every Sunday, but who you never really get to know! New members are most welcome.
There are currently 4 dinner groups, each consisting of eight people , who meet 4 times during the year in a different member’s house on each occasion. The participants take it in turn to host the dinner in their home. Each time the group meets, the host provides the entrée and refreshments and coordinates with the other
people in their group to bring appetizers, salad and a dessert. It is the responsibility of each host to coordinate with the others in the group to set a date for each dinner meeting. Babes in arms are usually welcomed, but otherwise babysitters are a necessity for young children.
