Grow In Faith To Serve...Christ

Trustees

The trustees are responsible for the property of the church.  This includes the church building, its contents, and the parcel of real estate that it occupies.  It also includes the parsonage, its' contents and surrounding property.  The trustees must keep everything in good repair to ensure that the physical plant and equipment continue to be capable of supporting the programs of the church.   Most trustee activities fall under the four headings of:  maintenance, repair, replacement and improvement.

Twice a year the trustees ask the members of the congregation to volunteer to help with the maintenance of the church.  Once in the spring and once in the fall the trustees organize a “Work Day”.  The members are asked to work four hours (really only half a day) doing minor maintenance and repairs, general cleaning, and installing or removing storm windows.

The trustees are also responsible for the church van, the use of the church building and its contents by outside organizations, all insurance and legal matters pertaining to church property and all endowment, trust and memorial funds.

The trustees supervise, oversee and care for all church properties.  Volunteers are welcome, but members are nominated by the Lay Leadership Committee.
