Outreach
We are Outreach and our mission is
to be Christ's eyes, hands, feet, mind, and heart,
both within our church community and beyond.
We encourage both congregation and community to grow spiritually, to uplift and be uplifted, to actively participate in the life of DUMC, and to work together to seek out and help those in need.
Objectives:
- To reach out to those searching for a church home.
- To promote the spiritual growth of our church members.
- To promote friendliness among members and visitors.
Activities
- Adult Fall Retreat
- Guest Evangelists
- Pictorial Directory
- Outreach informational booth at Peach Festival
- Visitor Bags containing information about our church
- Warm, friendly greetings for members and visitors at all services
- Giveaways (magnets, bookmarks, etc.) containing name of church, phone number, etc.
- Advertising: newspaper ads, roadside directional signs
- Welcome letters mailed to new residents
- Evangelistic articles in monthly church newsletter
