Staff/Parish Relations
The Staff/Parish Relations team manage the paid staff of the church, from the pastor to the maintenance folks.
You can think of them as the fishers of people for DUMC!
The purpose of the Staff/Parish Relations is to build and maintain relationships among members of the congregation and between congregation and staff. Its primary responsibility is to work with staff and congregation to accomplish the mission of the church. Tasks include educating and reminding the staff and congregation to focus on church mission, developing and recommending policy, assessing job performance, conferring and consulting with the District Superintendent, supporting lifelong learning and spiritual renewal for all staff, and identifying and supporting members called to ministry. Volunteers are welcome, but members are nominated by the Lay Leadership Committee.
