Member Care
Member Care serves our congregation in a variety of ways. Member Care organizes and hosts the popular Lenten Soup Suppers held for six consecutive Wednesdays leading up to Easter. This requires the help of many volunteer soup makers from our congregation. Each year the Card Ministry sends out over 400 cards to members of the congregation. Cards are sent to acknowledge both the cares and concerns of our members, to recognize their joys and special occasions. Our Love Sharing Meals ministry organizes the delivery of meals to members of our church coming home from the hospital or experiencing a serious illness. This is another area that relies on the generous support of a large group of volunteers from within our church family. The Adopt-a-Grandparent program matches individuals to the senior members of our church through monthly contact with cards and notes. This ministry's mission is to help those seniors stay connected to their church family with a one-on-one outreach. Occasionally Member Care gives assistance to families during their time of bereavement in the loss of a loved one by hosting a reception in the church.
